the family narrative

Eager to create a workshop that gave more than a perfunctory nod to family photography as a serious and sustainable business, the Family Narrative was conceived by a group of four women to facilitate open, engaged, substantive conversation focused entirely on the art and business of family portraiture. Next March, we are hosting a retreat in New Orleans that will bring the best and brightest in the business together with a forward-thinking group of photographers eager to learn, share, grow, and diversify the industry… and we’d love you to be there.

  • If you believe that family photography is an important and valuable art form;

  • If you want to be part of a supportive, professional community dedicated to elevating our business practices and craft;

  • If you’d like your family portrait business to be able to feed your family and your soul...

...you belong at the Family Narrative.

Join us for three days of curated presentations, panel discussions, small-group conversations, portfolio reviews, and live shoots, and help us script an entirely new narrative on what it means to be a family photographer in the modern era.
